Environmental Communications and Environmental Education are emerging disciplines with roots in many traditional fields, including education, communication, psychology, journalism, natural resources management, political science and ecology.
The Natural Resources Communications option integrates and balances the social sciences, humanities and natural resources in a creative, interdisciplinary manner.
Through partnership with the Natural Resources Environmental Sciences Secondary major, the department has developed a flexible curriculum that prepares students to effectively communicate the ever-changing dynamics between food production, energy development, economics, and natural resource conservation.
