Why did you choose AgEd?
I went through four years of ag education and FFA in high school, and I’m passionate about sharing my agriculture knowledge with students. My dad also taught agriculture in the past.
How is the AgEd Dept helping you with your career goals?
I’m making connections and getting involved in the department, this will make me more relatable when I get my own classroom. I am learning networking and communication skills to help me now and in the future.
What’s your favorite part of being an AgEd major?
Interacting with individuals from the same major and those of different majors. It’s so easy to share our knowledge and passion about agriculture!

Meet Jeremy Scott
Jeremy Scott
Major: Ag Education
Hometown: Kansas City, KS
Why did you choose AgEd?
I wanted to learn about real life. I always wanted to be a teacher and I wanted something that will be useful for a lifetime.
How is the AgEd Dept helping you with your career goals?
I’ve changed my major twice, and this department is simply a lot of help – a very supporting cast. Drs. Washburn and Wiley have helped me with internships and am now thinking about graduate school.
What’s your favorite part of being an AgEd major?
The experience. Coming from Kansas City, I didn’t get to see a lot of actual agriculture. So I’m absorbing a lot of information and getting even more experiences!
